After 25 years, countless stories, and an Emmy Award for her excellence in journalism, Cynthia Smoot has retired from her position as co-anchor of the 5 and 11 p.m. broadcasts at FOX 13 News. I then went into the station to assist in the preparation of the early newscast and afterward monitor the network for any stories to be used at 10 PM.
